OREGON FACILITATOR

My Mission and Vision

As a certified psilocybin facilitator, I approach my work through a trauma-informed lens, recognizing the profound impact that past experiences can have on an individual's journey toward healing and self-discovery. With a focus on minority Veterans, LGBTQ+, women, and BIPOC individuals, I am dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space where trauma is acknowledged with empathy and understanding.

My purpose is to guide individuals on transformative journeys with psilocybin mushrooms, ensuring that each individual feels seen, heard, and supported every step of the way. Through compassionate facilitation, education, and emotional support, I empower individuals to confront and heal from the traumas that may have shaped their lives, while also addressing societal discrimination and systemic inequalities.

By centering the experiences of marginalized communities and fostering a trauma-informed approach, I strive to create an environment where individuals can explore their true selves, reclaim their agency, and cultivate resilience. My ultimate goal is to facilitate meaningful change, promote healing, and contribute to the collective well-being of all those I serve.

Important Information

  • Choosing a facilitator to work with is a very personalized decision and should be approached in what works best for you. When choosing a Psilocybin facilitator, it's essential to consider their credentials, experience, and approach to psychedelic healing. Look for facilitators with proper training and certifications, extensive experience in guiding psychedelic experiences, and a compassionate and empathetic demeanor. Additionally, inquire about their therapeutic framework, safety protocols, and ethical standards to ensure a supportive and conducive environment for your healing journey.

  • Psychedelics, also known as hallucinogens, are a class of psychoactive substances that induce alterations in perception, mood, and cognitive processes. Throughout history, psychedelics have put humans in touch with greater states of consciousness, and a deeper understanding of the inner workings of their own psyche. These substances typically produce profound changes in consciousness, often including visual and auditory hallucinations, alterations in thought patterns, and a heightened sense of introspection and spirituality. They are now being used in therapeutic settings to facilitate psychological exploration, emotional healing, and personal growth.

  • My purpose during your session is to ensure your physical, psychological, spiritual and mental safety during our time together. To support you in navigating all that arises in a manner that allows you to freely express yourself, while maintaining your safety and well-being throughout.

  • Neuroplasticity, the brain's capacity to reorganize its structure and connections, underpins learning, memory, and recovery from injury. This phenomenon involves the formation of new neural pathways (neurogenesis) and the modulation of existing connections (synaptic plasticity). Psilocybin has been shown to enhance neuroplasticity, potentially facilitating habit change by promoting the creation of new pathways and altering synaptic strength. These effects may persist for weeks after psilocybin administration, offering a window of opportunity for therapeutic interventions aimed at behavior modification and personal growth.

  • Research is ongoing and more continues to come out within many of the below topic areas:

Psilocybin use has shown promising benefits across various areas of mental health and neurological conditions. Ongoing research suggests potential therapeutic applications for psilocybin in treating PTSD by helping individuals process traumatic experiences. Additionally, it shows promise in alleviating symptoms of depression and anxiety, offering new avenues for treatment-resistant cases. Psilocybin's effects on serotonin receptors may also provide relief for cluster headaches and migraines, with studies exploring its potential as a preventive treatment. As research continues to unfold, psilocybin holds considerable potential in revolutionizing treatment approaches for these conditions.

  • Psilocybin typically has a relatively short half-life, meaning it is metabolized and eliminated from the body relatively quickly. However, its metabolite, psilocin, may linger in the body for longer periods, detectable in urine for up to 24hrs after ingestion. Factors such as individual metabolism, dosage, and frequency of use can also influence how long psilocybin and its metabolites stay within the body. If you are a chronic user, psilocin can stay within your system for up to 1 to 3 days after consumption.

  • As a Psilocybin facilitator, it's extremely important to transparently communicate the breakdown of costs associated with facilitation care. These fees include my fees as a facilitator offering you support, service center fees for infrastructure and amenities, and the psilocybin that includes applicable taxes. These costs ensure the provision of a safe, supportive, and professional environment for clients to undergo their therapeutic experiences, reflecting the investment in their well-being and the integrity of the facilitation process. Testimonials

  • “I had spent the past 4 years in and out of the VA relentlessly searching for an effective treatment for the symptoms linked to my post traumatic stress. It was my trust and confidence in Alex that allowed me to place my trust in plant medicine. Alex’s empathy, patience, and gentle guidance was indispensable to my lifesaving psychedelic healing journey.”

    - Queer Female Special Operations Veteran

  • “Upon departing the Marine Corps and SOF, I struggled through the civilian world thinking “they don’t understand” feeling lost and fighting the anger and sadness associated with leaving an elite organization like MARSOC. The universe works in great ways as I met Alex, an individual who experienced similar transition challenges and is just as elite in her facilitator practice as she was in her past life in the military. She created a nurturing space and offered her hand making me feel safe and understood as I tackled and overcame a decade’s worth of combat fueled, compartmentalized pain. Thank you Alex.”

    - Marine Corps Special Operations Veteran

  • “Alex was such a radiant light upon meeting. They exude a feeling of safety and calmness, which made it really easy to open up. I appreciate the level of care, compassion and love expressed when sharing space with her.”

    - Queer, BIPOC, Army veteran

“After two deployments to the middle east as an intelligence analyst and part of the elite Female Engagement Teams (FET) with the Marine Corps, followed by a decade of high achieving academia, I was left feeling extremely anxious and deeply depressed with a completely dysregulated nervous system and suicidal at times. For the last decade I have tried multiple regular and consistent modalities of healing but nothing was working and the VA had failed me. After seeing the profound healing effects psychedelics had with my fellow veteran brothers and sisters, I found the Heroic Hearts Projects and plant medicine. Alex was the facilitator on a retreat I attended with HHP. From the moment I met her, she radiated gentle love, genuine compassion, and wise warrior woman energy. Trust is something I continue to struggle with today and Alex provided a safe warrior sister energy that I knew I was safe with her. She would have my back or “my six” as we say in the military. She held an incredibly loving and judgment free safe space to vulnerably process a seabag full of 'stuff'.”
